With the release of SAP NetWeaver Composition Environment 7.2, portal development has been enhanced with a number of new capabilities:
The Cache Management API provides a uniform way to manage internal portal caches
The JavaScript client-side Navigation API for the Ajax Framework Page (AFP) exposes the navigation hierarchy and enables you to control navigation in the portal
The User Content Directory (UCD) provides a storage location for applications to store and access user data to improve the user experience
The Administration Studio Framework, which provides a set of tools for modifying the administration environment of the portal, has been enhanced with new capabilities
The Layout Tag Library and Navigation Tag library have been extended with new tags contributed by Sven Kannengiesser
Note that these extended libraries are also available to SAP NetWeaver 7.02 customers.
